POINT OF USE. By definition these are heaters that are used for a one location application - shower, sink, washing machine. They are normally installed under the sink. They are also very popular for vacation homes.
When deciding which Tankless Water Heater to purchase, you will need to consider where you will need to know the answer to two questions.
How much hot water do I need?
How much do I have to heat the water?
It is important to recognize the number of fixtures that will require hot water. Each fixture will have its own demands. The chart below illustrates the typical flow rates (demand) for some standard fixtures: However, fixtures as in showers with multiple showerheads or whirlpool baths may require considerably more flow of hot water.

POINT OF USE HEATERS - Small heaters used for a one location application (shower, sink, washing machine etc).
H-12-2 - One sink, GOOD for a sink or shower in zone 1 , our smallest unit.
H-14-2 - 20% more capacity than a H-12-2 same application usage but will be effective in more temperate climates.
H-16-2 - 10% more capacity than the H-14-2, same application usage.
